My wife, JoNell Aron, writes:

As a little girl, my grandmother would lift me up onto the tall organ bench and say "Sing this one, JoNell." She and my mother taught me so many old songs. In addition to exposing me to many different styles of music, I was always encouraged to sing in church. The songs on this recording have long held a special place in my heart. Every day, I am thankful for the wondrous gift of music--a gift that could only come from God.

Ellen G. White, in 1903, put it like this:

"Music...rightly a precious gift of God designed to uplift the the thoughts to high and noble themes, to inspire and elevate the soul. It has the power to subdue rude and uncultivated nature, to quicken thought and to awaken sympathy, to promote harmony of action, and to banish the gloom and forboding that destroy courage and weaken effort. It is one of the most effective means of impressing the heart with spiritual truth."

It is my sincere hope that these songs will touch your heart as they do mine.
