University of Akron Guitar Ensemble Concert

The University of Akron's Guitar Ensemble played on Sunday, May 4 in Guzzetta Recital Hall. It was a mixed program, featuring some solos this time, to replace two cancellations for illness. (The Mountain Songs of Robert Beaser and Canyon Echoes by Katherine Hoover were both cancelled).

Daniel Silverman and soprano Crystal Carlson performed Beethovan's Adelaide, Op. 46.

Wyatt MacAnerney played Jorge Morel's Danza Brasilera--his first solo classical guitar performance.

Philip Logan played Moreno Torroba's Sonatina in A.

Wyatt was back on stage, with flutist Mary Kate Krizman, for Dierdre Lynds' John Doe's Running.

Jonathan Smith played Guido Santorsola's Sonata No. 4.

And finally, Philip Logan returned to the stage for Benjamin Britten's Songs From the Chinese, with soprano Josephine Suwompoh.
