Guitarists Play for Careers Day
Each Fall semester, the University of Akron hosts an event inviting high school students to campus for a look at careers in music. They are treated to myriad activities, including performing with major ensembles and meeting with individual instructors. At the morning's registration and meet-n-greet, Guzzetta Hall's architecturally stunning atrium was filled with people getting acquainted and perusing the display tables featuring every music club and organization on campus. As a service to the cause, guitar students were happy to provide music.
MM candidates Jeremy Avalos and Philip Logan each played solo for a while, then were joined by fellow MM candidate Sarah Boyson for some trio music.
