Xavier Jara in Oberlin

Xavier Jara, with Stephen Aron and photographer, Martha Bihari's dog Max.

Xavier Jara, the 2016 Guitar Foundation of America International Solo Competition Rose Augustine Grand Prize Winner, played a recital and taught a class at Oberlin in September. Jara's concert was brilliant, featuring some repertoire new to all of us, and his teaching was effective and memorable. He was a charming and delightful guest. We look forward to future visits. Below are some shots of his concert and class, and his program is at the end.
